Daniel Ball

Daniel Ball, 38, is a single father living in Florida. He lives in the small town of Homosassa, Florida.  He watched the election with his family.  They were all disturbed by it.  Daniel, together with his father, his brother, and his sister-in-law went to Washington DC on January 6, 2021to express their dismay at the 2020 election which theyall saw as clearly fraudulent.

Daniel wandered off on his own after Trumps speech and was led by people he did not know (FBI?) to the Capitol.  Near the tunnel entrance.  The Police had thrown tear gas and bear spray at the crowd, several protestors got ill and the crowd began pushing back.  Daniel went into the Capitol briefly but left and returned to the family hotel room.

A few months after the Capitol attack, Daniel was arrested in Florida in an unrelated case of battery against five civilians and two law enforcement officers.Daniel was convicted in connection with the incident and sentenced to five years’ probation.

The FBI said Daniel’s probation officer confirmed his identification for his arrest two years later in 2023 which appears to have been made with the help of facial recognition technology. “That’s Daniel Ball,” the probation officer said upon being shown a photo, according to the FBI. The probation officer added that Ball still owned the jacket he was wearing on Jan. 6, 2021, authorities said.

In May of 2023, Daniel was arrested in Inverness, about 60 miles (96 kilometers) west of Orlando. He is charged with multiple felonies, including assaulting, resisting, or impeding certain officers with a deadly or dangerous weapon.

What the DOJ does to maximize a sentence is something called “stacking,” they grab as many possible violations as they can find.  Then, all they need is a felony.  Being creative, they found a statute in the Sarbanes Oxley legislation of 2002 meant to prevent destruction of evidence in a financial crime.  It is a felony, they take that felony and stack it on top which enables them to “upgrade” the misdemeanors to felony’s so the DOJ can get a long sentence of hard time for people who they view as political enemies.

Daniel is charged with 12 counts, including assaulting, resisting or impeding officers with a deadly or dangerous weapon; using an explosive to commit any felony; and obstruction of law enforcement during a civil disorder.   The DOJ claims Daniel set off an explosive device.  Daniel describes it this way, “there were individuals behind me pushing, they lit and threw a device, it was loud.” Both Antifa and the FBI were dressed as Trump supporters there to incite as much violence as possible.  Daniels parents believe it was Antifa that did this.

He is the only Jan. 6 defendant charged with setting off an explosive device during the attack on the Capitol.

The DOJ claims that Daniel worked with other rioters to violently push against fully uniformed police officers attempting to keep individuals out of the Capitol Building” and then “threw an explosive device into the entranceway.”

“For many other officers that were interviewed, it was the most memorable event that day,” an FBI affidavit said. “Some officers who were defending the tunnel at the time of the explosion reported feeling the pressure of the blast.

The DOJ maintains that Daniel entered the United States Capitol at 3:29 p.m. through the Senate Wing door. While inside, Ball pried a large, linear broken piece of a wooden shutter from a window in the Senate connecting corridor before exiting the building. Ball then joined other rioters on the Lower West Terrace on the nearly completed inaugural stage. From outside the Lower West Terrace Entrance, Ball worked with other rioters to push against fully uniformed police officers attempting to keep individuals out of the Capitol Building. When that attempt was unsuccessful, Ball moved back into the crowd and allegedly threw an explosive device into the entranceway.

The DOJ refuses to release the entire video as much of it is exculpatory (excusing of guilt).

Daniel has been incarcerated since May of 2023 in the DC Gulag.  One day a couple months ago, he was showering and the shower head was clogged.  He tried to fix it and the alarm went off.  The Guards took him, handcuffed him, and beat him for close to an hour.  His face was swollen beyond recognition and four teeth were gone.  One of them told Daniel he would come back later and rape him.

He didn’t know what to do but be quiet.  His parents don’t know what to do, they all fear retribution as these guards are brutal.

He appreciates funds and letters.
