Larry Brock

Larry Brock Jr was born in 1969 at the height of the Vietnam War.  Raised in Texas, by a Christian family, he longed to serve his country and was elated when he was accepted into the US Air Force Academy (USAF) in 1985.  Larry graduated with a bachelors degree and went on to become a pilot in the Air Force flying the A-10.

Larry flew that A-10 in Desert Storm.  He met his wife during that time and had two children, a boy and a girl.  They settled in South Lake Texas where they became members of the Gateway Church.

Larry went on to serve in both the Iraq and Afghanistan wars and rose to the rank of Lieutenant Colonel.  It was in Afghanistan that he risked his life to save a man for which he received a metal.  Larry retired many years ago but joined the reserves so he could continue to serve his country while going on to become a pilot at a major airline.

Larry and his family watched the November 3rd elections until 10pm.  Trump had a lead in all swing counties, so the Brock family went to bed.  When they awoke the next morning, the leads had all flipped.  They discovered that all six swing counties stopped counting at the same time and then when resumed, were all reporting comfortable leads for Joe Biden.

When President Trump held a rally at the Capitol on January 6th, 2021, Larry decided to attend.  He went by himself to protest what he believed to be a fraudulent election and to show support for President Trump.  Larry attended the President’s speech but left a little early to find a restroom with plans to continue to the Capitol building, knowing that is where the peaceful protest would take place.  He arrived at the Capitol building towards the beginning of the group and noticed that the barricades were opened and uniformed police were waving everyone through – closer to the Capitol building.  Larry continued to follow the crowd being led by another “protestor.”  He stopped at the door and decided to enter as a policeman held the door open.  Larry was not a trespasser as he was invited in by a policeman.

Larry can be seen on many videos on the Senate floor, not being violent, but in fact being a peacekeeper.  There was another “protestor” which according to Congressmen Higgins was likely an FBI Officer dressed as a Trump supporter who led Larry to Vice President Pence’s office.   Larry can be heard asking people to behave and respect “the people’s house”. Larry found a set of keys and tried them out on a door in the Vice President’s office.  This moment was cited when the Judge decided to sentence Larry to two years of hard time.  The DOJ also alleged that Larry had a plan to get violet although his behavior that day indicates nothing of the sort. Larry intervened in a situation to protect a Capitol Police Officer named Nairobi Timberlake.  According to Timberlake, Larry saved him from harm. Larry decided it was time to leave as things got more crowded and sought out a uniformed policeman to escort him out.

Four days later, Larry got a phone call from the FBI claiming they wanted to talk.  Larry avoided the high-profile arrest by turning himself in directly to the FBI rather than waiting at his house.  The FBI insisted that Larry be held without bail on two misdemeanor charges: entry to a restricted building and violent entry. He was released without bail to his family’s residence.  The FAA revoked his pilot’s license and Larry lost his job as a pilot.  This was hard as Larry is currently raising his 8-year-old son, Ben.

In March of 2023, Larry was convicted and in November, he was sentenced to two years hard time with two years of probation and a $2000 fine.
